One €39 payment per boat. The whole loop.
Boat buying does not happen on a monthly cycle, so Knotworth is not priced like a subscription. You research one specific boat, sometimes three, across a few weeks; the pricing follows that shape. See what the payment actually buys in the sample report.

The unlock price is €39 per boat, one time - shown again before checkout, with any applicable tax already included in that figure rather than added at checkout. Payment is handled by Polar and the report opens the moment it completes.
Why per boat and not a subscription?
Because the value arrives per boat, not per month. A subscription rewards keeping you searching; a per-boat payment rewards getting you to a confident yes or no as fast as possible. Our incentive is a clear verdict, not a longer engagement.
The comparison that matters is not software pricing at all. It is the cost of one wasted visit to the wrong boat, or one survey commissioned on a hull whose rigging bill was knowable from the listing date. Either dwarfs the unlock.
Our fairness rules
Three rules shape the pricing. We never charge for an easy rejection: knock-outs are free. A no-go is advice, not a wall: you can always unlock and proceed anyway. And your real quotes beat our estimates: overriding a line never costs anything and survives every recompute.
These are product rules, not marketing lines; they are encoded in how the tool works. The free pre-check exists precisely so that boats which cannot fit your ceiling cost you nothing to dismiss.
How payment works
Checkout runs on Polar: card payment, instant unlock, receipt by email. The €39 unlock is tied to the specific boat, keeps working for the whole seller loop, and the exact total is always shown before you confirm. No stored balance, no credits, no auto-renewal - and our refund policy covers the rest.
Paste a listing URL. If the boat clears the pre-check and you want the full numbers, one €39 payment covers everything for that boat.
Pricing questions
Is the pre-check really free?+
Yes, for every boat, every time. Paste a listing URL and you get the specs, design ratios, mission fit and any knock-out at no cost. Payment only enters the picture if the pre-check looks promising and you want the full report.
How many boats can I check?+
As many as you like. Pre-checks are unlimited and free. You pay only per boat you choose to unlock, so checking ten listings and unlocking the one worth pursuing costs exactly one €39 payment.
What if the report says the boat is a bad buy?+
Then the payment did its job: it saved you the survey, the travel and the purchase. A clear no with reasons is the cheapest outcome in boat buying. And it stays advice, not a block; the proceed-anyway path is always there.
Is it a subscription?+
No. There is no recurring charge, no account fee and no bundle you have to size in advance. One payment covers one boat's entire Stage-1 loop, however many days and question rounds it takes.
Do recomputes or extra question rounds cost more?+
No. Logging seller answers, recomputing the report, regenerating questions and the final go/no-go are all inside the one payment. We want you to keep asking until the picture is clear, not to ration questions.
What about the post-survey stage?+
Stage 2, which parses your professional survey into a prioritized refit list and a second-round negotiation case, will be a separate optional purchase when it ships. Nothing about Stage 1 requires it.
