Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for Knotworth (getknotworth.com) is Itzhak Fuhrman, trading as Waverine Marketing, Israel. Contact for anything in this policy: hello@getknotworth.com.

1. What we collect

Account data - name and email, via our sign-in provider (Clerk). Buyer profile - the mission, budget, location, and preference answers you give in onboarding, used solely to tailor your analyses. Boat research - the listing URLs you submit, listing text you paste in yourself (kept so your report can be recomputed), the analyses we compute, seller answers you log, and your decisions. Payment records - payment status and amount from Polar; card details never touch our systems. Basic technical data - logs needed to run and secure the service.

2. How we use it

To run the product you asked for: computing pre-checks and reports, generating seller questions, recomputing when you log answers, and showing your dashboard. We do not sell your data, and we do not build a catalog from the listings you research - listing pages are fetched on demand, per boat, for you, and fetched listing text is not retained beyond what the report needs. Listing text you paste in manually is stored with your boat, since there is no page for us to re-fetch; it is covered by the same deletion rights as the rest of your research.

3. Processors we rely on

Clerk (authentication), Convex (database and backend), Polar (payments, as merchant of record), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI text analysis of listings you submit), Jina and Bright Data (fetching the listing page you submit - which one is used depends on the site), and Google Tag Manager (loading our measurement tags). Each receives only what its role requires.

4. Legal basis & retention

We process your data to perform our contract with you (running the service you signed up for) and on our legitimate interest in securing and improving it. Your research and profile stay until you delete them or your account; payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR (and similar laws) you can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data, and object to or restrict processing. Email hello@getknotworth.com and we'll act on it promptly. You can also complain to your local supervisory authority.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed for sign-in and session security. No advertising trackers.

7. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced in-product before they take effect.
