Who we are
Knotworth (getknotworth.com) is a service operated by Itzhak Fuhrman, trading as Waverine Marketing, Israel. Contact: hello@getknotworth.com. "Knotworth", "we", and "us" in these terms refer to this operator.
1. What Knotworth is - and is not
Knotworth is a research aid for people considering a used sailboat. It combines public reference data, listing text you point it at, and automated analysis to estimate what a specific boat may really cost to buy and bring up to standard.
It is not: a marine survey or inspection; a valuation or appraisal; tax, VAT, customs, legal, or financial advice; or a guarantee of any boat's condition or cost. Every figure is an estimate with stated assumptions. Always commission a professional survey and sea trial before purchasing, and confirm tax and registration questions with a qualified advisor in your jurisdiction.
2. Your account and use
You need an account to save boats and buy reports. You agree to use Knotworth only to research boats you are personally evaluating, and to submit only listing URLs you are entitled to access. Automated bulk submission, scraping our output, or reselling reports is not permitted.
3. Payments and refunds
The pre-check is free. A one-time payment per boat (€39) unlocks the full Stage-1 report and covers the whole question-and-recompute loop for that boat - there are no per-step charges within Stage 1. Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record - Polar handles the charge, applicable taxes, and your receipt; we never see your card details. The €39 is the total you pay: any VAT or sales tax due in your country is included in that figure, not added on top. The report is digital content delivered immediately after payment; refunds, including your EU/UK withdrawal rights, are described in our refund policy. If a paid report fails to generate and re-running it doesn't fix it, contact us and we'll make it right.
4. Estimates, verdicts, and your decision
Our go/no-go verdicts are advice, not instructions - you can always proceed with any boat regardless of what we say. Cost figures are ranges with confidence levels and assumptions, built from reference data that varies by region, yard, and boat. You are responsible for your purchase decision and for verifying anything that matters to it.
5. Listing data
Reports are generated from the listing URL you provide, fetched on demand for you. We do not warrant that third-party listings are accurate, current, or lawful, and we are not affiliated with any listing site.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knotworth's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the report concerned. We are not liable for purchase decisions, survey findings, repair costs, tax outcomes, or any indirect or consequential loss.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-product. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
